FAQ’s

1. Can I come to the retreat on my own?
Yes, absolutely – many of our guests join us solo. Our retreats are designed to be warm, welcoming, and inclusive, offering a safe space to disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with yourself. Whether you're coming to rest, recharge, or meet new like-minded women, you'll be surrounded by a supportive community and guided by experienced hosts every step of the way. We encourage solo travellers and promise you'll have as much company as you wish.

2. I’m new to yoga, breathwork and the modalities you teach – are your retreats suitable for beginners?

Definitely. Our retreats are open to all levels, including those who have never stepped on a mat before. Each class is taught by experienced, brilliant instructors who offer modifications and guidance to suit your individual level. Whether you're just beginning your yoga or breathwork journey or returning after a break, you’ll be supported to go at your own pace. The focus is on moving with intention, calming the mind, and enjoying the experience - not on being perfect.

3. What’s included in the retreat price?

The retreat price includes your accommodation at a carefully selected luxury venue, breakfast, a light lunch, and a three course supper prepared by expert chefs, and a curated selection of workshops or wellness activities depending on the location. While many beautiful extras are included, please note that alcoholic beverages with the exception of a couple of glasses of wine with supper are extra. On each retreat their will be ‘Enlighten & Learn’ sessions often run by a specialist these are included also and you will see the full itinerary before each retreat. Treatments with our therapists are charged in addition to the retreat cost and any excursions you choose to book (horse riding / boat trips etc) will be charged separately.

4. Are flights and transfers included in the price?

Flights and transfers are not included in the retreat price, unless specifically stated otherwise. We ask that guests arrange their own travel to and from the retreat location. Once you have secured your spot, we’ll provide helpful travel information, including recommended arrival times, suggested routes, and options for local transfers. We're always on hand to answer questions and help make your journey as smooth as possible.

5 Is the deposit refundable if I need to cancel?

Unfortunately, all deposits are strictly non-refundable, as they secure your place and go toward upfront venue and service commitments. We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance as soon as you book to cover any unexpected cancellations, delays, or disruptions. Our Terms & Conditions are in the footer of the website.

6. What kind of accommodation can I expect?

Each retreat is hosted in a thoughtfully chosen luxury venue, ranging from countryside hotels to private estates. Expect stylish interiors, beautifully designed communal spaces, and serene bedrooms with the option of shared or private rooms. The accommodation is an essential part of your retreat experience – elegant, tranquil, and deeply restorative. We prioritise comfort, quality, and calm – with plenty of space to relax.

7. What do I pack?

We provide yoga mats, blocks, straps, and other essential props to make your practice comfortable and accessible. However, if you have a personal prop you love, feel free to bring it along. Full details of what will be provided will be sent to you ahead of the retreat, so you’ll know exactly what to pack. In the meantime Clare Richardson (Stylist & Tastemaker) shares some ideas on The Conversation within the site.

8. Will there be free time during the retreat?

Yes – while our retreats include a thoughtfully curated programme of yoga classes, workshops, and meals, we build in plenty of free time for rest, reflection, treatments and exploration. Our goal is to leave you feeling rested, nourished, and rebalanced.

11. When you say your retreats are for ‘Women in Business’ what do you mean?

We host retreats for brilliant female founders looking for meaningful time out - busy building, bootstrapping, sometimes floundering,  growing, evolving and juggling… and that’s just the beginning. Or perhaps you’re at the early stages of exploring a different path in your working life, developing the first threads of a new idea.

We also have many Working women who are leading, growing or navigating their careers within busy organisations, and who seek inspiration and positivity of other brilliant likeminded women.

Essentially you have to have a love of business to maximise your connections and conversations on retreat.

12. I have dietary requirements, can you cater for me?

With the exception of extreme allergies we can cater for all dietary requirements as all our food is freshly prepared so we have full knowledge of all the ingredients. Please when booking let us know your needs so we can ensure they are met.

13. Do you only serve vegetarian or vegan food?

Our menus are diverse and plentiful. There will always be vegan and vegetarian options but fish and meat will be available too within our menu choices. Freshly prepared, locally sourced.

14. Is alcohol served on retreat?

Yes, to those who wish to drink alcohol will be available. Many on retreat seek to enjoy Rosé as the sun drops or a spicy Marg if the mood takes them! There will be plenty of non-alcoholic options also. It’s your retreat - you choose.

15. The retreat I want to go on is ‘sold out’ - what can I do?

Join the ‘wait-list’ is the first step. Work and family commitments do change and occasionally we will have a place given up.

If you also join our newsletter - that community will know when yoga retreats are launched before any others and so it is your best chance to secure your spot.

16. I am a big fan of treatments, how can I make sure that there will be plenty available for me?

Don’t panic, you're not alone. The Collective was founded by a skincare expert who created her own luxury brand she was so obsessed. We will make sure we have plenty of opportunities to indulge. Shortly after booking you will be sent a bespoke treatment menu which will have been designed and crafted around your retreat. You can start exploring what you need from the get go, get it in the diary and forget all about it until you arrive.

17. What kind of treatments do you offer on retreat?

The very best. Claire, our founder seeks treatments wherever she is in the world. In her previous business Claire created an award winning skincare brand - Aurelia Probiotic Skincare. We created facials and treatments using these beautiful products and we launched an exclusive partnership at Thyme in the Cotswolds; a beautiful hotel with a dreamy spa. On retreat Claire is very involved in the treatments on offer. We don’t stick to one brand or protocol these days but we do seek out the very best treatments and often we will be adding different formulas in the mix to take it to the next level. We are mindful that on retreat and often being in the sun treatments are tailored to this environment. Peels and scrubs are kept to a minimum due to sun exposure but deeper drainage and holistic practices are ramped up - you are on retreat after all.

18. What kind of women go on your retreats?

Brilliant women. Busy, on the go types who have plenty of interests and a need to connect with other women. Supportive and kind personalities who seek pleasure in chatting and helping others explore ideas. They know where to go, what to do and are discerning in their choices. They love to recommend other holidays, books to read, places to shop.

Many have backstories and colourful lives that in a special place with special people get shared.

Lots have had or still do have brilliant careers and work passions. Always a mix of interests and skills.

Many have children, others don’t but they ALL have a shared passion for life. If you relate to this please retreat with us.
